What a wonderful easter we had! We don’t really care for bunnies and eggs but we do usually throw a huge party on easter to celebrate the most exciting and pivotal day in the Christian faith — the day Jesus rose from the dead. This year however we looked more closely at what the day means and what it looks like to celebrate by really living it out. So we set out to love and bless the city and people around us. Our church community mobilized about 200-300 people to meet some of the needs of the highschool that graciously allows us to meet in its auditorium. The school district put together a long lists of things that it needed done but didnt have the time nor funding to do, and we celebrated Jesus’ resurrection by having a giant work party to get those things done!
The Kids came prepared for work too! They wrote individual thank you letters to all of the staff and teachers for their incredible service to our city’s youth
The morning still ending with a bash — singing, dancing, great coffee and food, and baptisms is freezing water! Ooops.. :)
