Welcome to the BLOG! Here you'll find updates on my current work, clients, ideas and musings. Hop over to the PORTFOLIO SITE for more information and work.

My goal as a photographer is to highlight your unique personal style while capturing images that evoke emotion. I have a fine art photojournalism style and aim to put you at ease while having fun at the same time. To me, life is a grand story unfolding and I get to tell my part of it through images.

I specialize in senior potraits, actor and buisness headshots, bridal, and engagement photos. I shoot weddings all over Oregon and California including Los Angeles, Orange County, San Fransisco, Portland, Salem, Eugene, Canon Beach, and Hood river, to name a few. I travel regularly for bookings up and down the west coast and am available for destination weddings.

I would love to meet with you and take part in
the telling of your story.

Life, Love, and Paramount Pictures [LA Headshot Photographer]

Well you all, I’m finally starting to settle in to a brand new life down here in Los Angeles California. It has been a really strange transition for me since I’ve only ever lived in the (great) state of Oregon, surrounded by family and life long friends. My heart very much still longs for my beautiful green home state, but I must admit the change from rain to sunshine is much appreciated. Our home here is only about 2 miles from the Hollywood sign and just a 2-block walk down to the infamous Hollywood and Vine intersection. There is never any shortage of exciting things to do and places to people watch (my favorite pastime, and even better on Hollywood blvd). Since I’ve been kind of stuck in a funk of transitory homesickness, I haven’t been posting much. But now this place is starting to feel more like home and I’m going to start posting more about day-to-day Hollywood happenings as well as Current Work.

I have also been spending a lot of my time working through business materials and re-branding. I’ll be launching two new websites by the end of April, one portfolio and one headshot site for my Hollywood work. You’ll also notice little changes around the blog, and more posting about the behind the scenes, and day-to-day happenings. Please let me know if there are any types of posts that you guys would like to see!

I have exciting news for all you Oregonians! As more and more weddings are inked into the books this summer I have a better idea of the schedule I will be keeping. I will have two week periods almost every month where I will be up in Oregon and available during the weekdays for Senior Photo sessions! The weekends will be mostly filled with wedding photography, but if you are a 2011 high school senior, or know an upcoming 2011 high school senior, then lets set up your senior portrait shoot!

I will be heading up to Corvallis this Friday (April 1st) and will be there until Tuesday (April 12th) shooting some Seniors and Engagement photos. I’m so excited to sit down and get to know some of my summer wedding couples while we shoot their engagements. I treasure the time we have in the engagement sessions to get comfortable shooting with each other before the craziness of the actual wedding day; it makes the big day go so much smoother.

If any of you Oregonians want to get in a last minute shoot in on this April trip, I still have a couple of spots open. Just call or email me through the site contact page. My next trip will be the last week of May/first week of June which is also starting to fill up fast, so email me if you are looking for an early summer Senior session.

On a different note, I thought I’d share with you what I got to do this afternoon! I had the opportunity to be a guest for lunch on the Paramount Pictures studio lot. We got to see the in progress filming of the new Godfather movie with Harvey Keitel, the haunted and cursed sound stages from the Poltergeist movies, and the stages where they filmed the original Star Trek shows. It was awesome! I got a few iPhone pics to show for it, hope you enjoy.
