Sophie and her Little One

A few weeks ago I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Sophie for the second time this year – once for her headshots (she is an amazing dancer/instructor/choreographer here in LA) this time for her maternity portraits! Sophie is one of the most beautiful expecting mothers I’ve ever had the opportunity to photograph. She is someone who sparkles inside and out and she’s going to be such a great mom! I can’t wait to meet little Mr. Jumpy… Come soon little man!

Since I haven’t blogged for a second I thought I’d throw a little shout out to my beautiful people who have been keeping me busy AND give you all a sneak peak of what’s to come! Since my last post, I took a week off of shooting to recharge after the slammin wedding season and before my last wedding on 2011 (definitely ended on a high note!!). Then I photographed the beautiful miss Sophie and the little bean inside her belly (as shown below) and then almost immediately got in a car and drove to Arizona for a week to photograph Emma and Ely’s stunning wedding at the Tubac Golf Resort in Tubac Arizona. It was magical! Now I’m settling back into Los Angeles and prepping for the holiday’s which hold lots on movies, coconut milk eggnog (new obsession) and dinners with friends. Hope yours are splendid as well!

Little Bird – Socks and Chimes

so I already posted this for my super awesome facebook fans but I didn’t want anyone else to be left out or feel excluded from this sweet little thing. I’ve been working a lot with a team of incredible artists down here in LA to create short film projects and music videos. This is the first music video that I shot and it holds a special place in my heart, mainly because I love this song and this band so much. I think you might fall in love with it too, so check it out. The band is Socks & Chimes, a duo ukulele group out of LA, it was directed my Noah Gilbert, who is a CalArts grad, and shot by yours truly. Next Trip to Oregon Scheduled!!

So I know that this is the post that many of you have been waiting for because I keep getting emails asking “when are you going to be up in Oregon again??!” Well the answer is officially public.
I have some exciting news for all my Oregon family and senior clients, and beautiful brides (and extremely dapper grooms). I will be heading up the West Coast on March 22nd, piggy backing on my husband’s first west coast tour. We will be spending the March 23rd- April 2nd in Corvallis for me to open up Portrait and Engagement sessions, then we will be heading up north as he continues on a McMenamins hotel music tour in Washington and Oregon.
And… (drum roll please)… I will be opening up a limited amount of exclusive Portrait and Engagement shoots on the McMenamins Edgefield campus On April 6th, 7th, and 8th. These spots are filling up very fast so if you are one of my 2011 brides and want your engagement session at Edgefield contact me right away. They are also open to Portland Senior Portrait sessions and family portrait sessions on a first come first serve.
And If you can’t fit in to the Edgefield schedule then remember I will be opening up dates between March 23rd and April 2nd for senior portraits, family portraits, and engagement sessions. But contact me soon because those are filling up fast too!

The second bit of exciting news though is that Cloud9 (our favorite Corvallis nightspot) will be hosting a CD release party for Casey on Saturday April 10th. I can’t wait for all of you to hear this new album, it’s incredible and composed completely of song he’s written since we’ve been in LA. Its been a beautiful year of growth and totally shows in the music. I hope to see you all there for a killer celebration!
In the mean time, I’m way anticipating seeing all of you and that beautiful pacific northwest scenery.
