Headshots, headshots, headshots, oh my! With all this traveling to Oregon for weddings I haven’t had a ton of time to post about the things I shoot when I’m back in Los Angeles, but voila, today I’ll give you a taste. I shot Ian’s headshots a couple of weeks ago, and Kate’s were just this week. It’s nice to take a little break from wedding editing to get some one on one portrait time in, these guys are so inspiring and fun to work with. Ian is now in Ashland Oregon, working at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival on a new show called The Unfortunates. Its going to be amazing and I would suggest seeing it if you are going to be in Ashland in the middle of October! And Kate is an incredibly gifted jazz singer with classic charm. I’m so glad to know her!

Well I arrived in Oregon safe and sound and now I’m going to try to catch you all up on some of the headshots I did this week back in Los Angeles. You may recognize Stevens from our headshot session last year that was up on the blog. We have been planning this session for a while, so I’m glad to finally have it out and accomplished. We did quite a few looks and went to a couple different locations. It was a great time and I’m looking forward to working more with him in the future!

Erika is such a gem, she brought so much energy (and so many clothes) to her headshot shoot. It made it easy to talk through her different roles and goals in the the industry and set up the perfect shoot for her. She never stopped smiling and laughing, it was so contagious. Erika’s boyfriend came along and was totally up for being put to work, he carried clothing changes, held reflector, shuffled accessories and makeup, he was amazing! Thank you both for being so wonderful and having such a good time!

Meet Melissa, aka Mel. She is so sweet and fun to photograph. Mel needed new headshots that were fun, flirty, and lighthearted. She’s been working on the set of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and is about to start on a Hills-esque show which involves lots of laying on the beach apparently – so not fair. But her goal is to get on (or even remotely close to) Glee! I love it, go Mel!
