But I’m glad I don’t have to limit myself to that because she is such a dynamic woman. But it’s so fun to photograph her flawless porcelain skin and PIERCING blue eyes, she is not only a joy, but so inspiring. Since meeting her she has brought so much light to my life, her positive attitude is contagious. Kate is a phenomenal jazz singer and an actress, and she’s basically killin’ it. He’s finishing up his studies as a puppeteer. When he first told me that over the phone, I hesitantly asked… “sooo… do you want pictures with your puppet?” Uhhhhh, dumb question Lauren. Puppeteer doesn’t automatically equate to ventriloquism… think more Jim Henson style. Chase creates incredible puppet characters and works with stage productions and performances that feature them. So cool.

We met randomly and the stars just totally aligned to book this session. Her headshots turned out great, and her manager loved them. But my favorite part of the shoot was gaining another amazing, encouraging artist in my life. Adrianne just lights up the room where ever she goes! I’m keeping my eye on this girl because she’s already a star :)

With all this traveling to Oregon for weddings I haven’t had a ton of time to post about the things I shoot when I’m back in Los Angeles, but voila, today I’ll give you a taste. I shot Ian’s headshots a couple of weeks ago, and Kate’s were just this week. It’s nice to take a little break from wedding editing to get some one on one portrait time in, these guys are so inspiring and fun to work with. Ian is now in Ashland Oregon, working at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival on a new show called The Unfortunates. Its going to be amazing and I would suggest seeing it if you are going to be in Ashland in the middle of October! And Kate is an incredibly gifted jazz singer with classic charm. I’m so glad to know her!
