Arwen + Peter [Beazell Memorial Forest Wedding Photography]

I had such a wonderful time with Arwen and Peter and their amazing family and friends. The wedding was a beautiful celebration of life and love, and their heartwarming story together. They are some of the kindest, most laid back, and fun loving people I’ve worked with and it was such a joy to capture their *1st* special day together. I say first because their legal matrimony is being held in Australia, where Peter is from and where they will be starting their lives together. This stateside celebration was all about the coming together of family and friends to send them out. In fact, Arwen and Peter even chose to have their guests marry them during the ceremony! Everyone had copies of the vows and read them over the couple as a group. Many happy and sad tears were shed and much laughter and dancing followed. The evening was beautiful in every way. I’m so excited for both of them and the adventure ahead of them, but Corvallis is definitely going to miss such a wonderful woman!

Josh + Julia [Corvallis Oregon Engagement Photography]

Josh and Julia are two very busy love birds. After a few attempts, we finally got an engagement shoot to fit into their hectic schedules. I’m so glad too, because they are awesome and I finally got to meet them in person! These two are so funny, and laugh A LOT, which in turn made me laugh a lot, and a great time was had by all. Well except, when Josh’s Cheesy tactics didn’t pay of so well… (see clip at the end, I promised Josh it would make it on the blog!) Anyway, these two are beautiful, and I’m so happy for them. Also, I can’t WAIT to photograph their wedding at Beazell Memorial Forest in August!

Jake + Jessica [Sandy Oregon Wedding Photography]

You may remember Jessica and Jake from their funky Engagement shoot back in January, right before I made the move to Los Angeles. Their awesome style was back in full force for the big day. Jessica is one multi talented woman, I was blown away by all the personal DIY touches she flawlessly pulled of. First, She MADE her dress. Yup, you heard me. She is an incredible seamstress and the dress was amazing on her. She also made the bouquets out of the coolest paper flowers I’ve ever seen. Every detail perfectly paired elegance and nostalgia. They were married at a private residence/tree farm in Sandy Oregon, right outside of Portland. It was a beautiful setting for a beautiful night. (I am a little bummed that Jake cut the dreads though, hehe) A thousand congratulations to you two!

Vanessa + Travis [Portland Oregon Engagement Photography]

I can’t tell you how much fun I had with Vanessa and Travis while we were running around Portland together. They are such a fun couple. They are goofy, and giggly, and so very very much in love. Vanessa’s best friend came along on the shoot and we couldn’t help but musing on how perfect they are for one another, as they skipped (literally) ahead of us. They were so cute, and needless to say, so fun to shoot! It also makes me so so excited for their wedding in October in Corvallis! YAY!
